Where We Fish

Central New York

Syracuse, NY is the hub for the greatest fishing in all of New York state. Situated around Onondaga Lake, Syracuse has access to the Finger Lakes, Oneida Lake, Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River. Connecting these lakes are the Seneca, Oneida and Oswego Rivers. All of these waters are within a 1-hour drive.

These fisheries support a variety of species. For cold-water species, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Brook Trout, Chinook (King) Salmon, Coho Salmon, Land-Locked Salmon and Atlantic Salmon are popular. Anglers also have excellent access to pursue cool and warm-water species such as Carp, Northern Pike, Chub, Catfish, Walleye, Crappie, Yellow Perch, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass.

The opportunities and varied waters within Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, Oswego, Madison, Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties make Central New York a great place to fish, live and work.

New England

Eastern Massachusetts (MA) is a metro area of about 5 million people, with Boston as it's hub, and is also home to a wide variety of gamefish opportunities. Dotted with hundreds of lakes and ponds from 5 acres to 500+ acres, as well as the large and gamefish-filled Merrimack River, there is no real shortage of gamefish to choose from on any given day or season.

Pike and Tiger Muskie, while stocked, grow to very large proportions in this area, sometime well over 20lbs. Trout are likewise stocked, and MA's stocking programs are some of the best in the US, stocking thousands of them—in most cases put-and-take—with most fish stocked in the 15-18" range. Several cold waters hold them over and produce large fish. Broodstock Atlantic Salmon and Trout add to the trophy potential. Bass, both Largemouth and Smallmouth, are very popular throughout the area, with the Cape Cod area and Merrimack River providing the best Smallmouth fishing east of the Wachusett Reservoir.

Every waterway in eastern MA is home to Largemouth, with many fish topping 7lbs (some over 10!) present. Large Panfish provide anglers with yearround action as well. This region also boasts some of the very best trophy Carp fishing in the US, with 20+ lb speciman commons, with the top end of well over 40 lbs.

Eastern MA is home to a vibrant economy dedicated mostly toward health, sciences, education, industry, insurance, and communications. From the Merrimack Valley in the northeast part of the state, to the Blackstone Valley of the southeast, to the Worcester area, this area encompasses roughly 3,000 square miles of some of the most diverse fishing and living anywhere.
