Big Carp Challenge Tournament
Wild Carp Companies presents the Big Carp Challenge at Onondaga Lake Good
Dog Park on Wednesday, May 18, 2011.
In this tournament format, single anglers will be competing for Big Fish prizes
awarded every hour.
Register for Wild Carp Week Tournaments
The entry fee is $100 per angler and is restricted to the first 40 anglers.
With $5000 on the line, there will be a payout of $500 per hour.
If no Carp are caught during an hour of competition, that hour’s payout will be attributed to the following hour of competition. All Carp must be landed prior to the hour deadline in order to count for that hour. In the event of a tie, that hour’s payout will be equally divided between tying anglers.
If no Carp is caught during the final hour of competition, the remaining
prize money will be awarded to the first angler to successfully land a Carp.
For an additional $10, anglers can participate in the floating jug contest. In the floating jug contest, a random weight is selected (between 10 lb, o oz and 20 lb, 0 oz) and whoever lands that weight first wins the contents of the jug.
If no participants hit the designated weight, the jug will carry
over and a new weight will be selected at the next Wild Carp Companies event.
